Reeds Cave
Privately owned, Reeds Cave is an anomalous mix of Wind Cave and Jewel Cave: challenging mud crawls lined with boxwork give way to crystal-filled corridors and beautiful formations in one of the longest caves in the Hills.
Grotto members have been actively resurveying Reeds Cave for several years, in hopes of creating a better, more accurate map for the owner. Creation of a new map may also help track down the elusive air that seems to vanish deeper in the cave. Perhaps more passages remain to be found?
Most Reeds Cave trips are scheduled at Grotto meetings or informally via email. Involvement with the project generally means getting to know the Grotto members who are actively working with the project. Come to a Grotto meeting for more information!
