North Cave 9/21-22

Hey Grotto,

It's been a while since any trips have happened in North Cave and our dig season is wrapping up in a few weeks. I'd like to get back in there this weekend and am free Saturday and Sunday if anyone else is available. Let me know what day(s) you're free and we can make a plan.

If you haven't been before, the cave is located west of Custer (40 min drive) and involves a mile hike to the entrance that is pretty easy. Once at the cave it's about 60' of crawling followed by a pit down to the dig that is rigged with a ladder. The dig is scooping dirt/rocks/rat poop into sand bags and hauling it out of the cave using a rope system and sleds. The whole thing can be done by 2 people, but 6-8 is better.
